LHCS Takes Out Chess Championship

Thirteen students from across LHCS Primary and Secondary took part in the Interschools Chess Championship at Gymea Technology High School Last Friday 8th May. We fielded an excellent team and consequently came away in first place in both the Primary and Secondary divisions. Of particular note was the outstanding performance by James H of 9L who managed to go through undefeated our other place getters included:

In primary school Samuel came 2nd, Callan came 4th and Kallan and Thomas tied for 5th place.

In secondary James came 1st and Jaden came 3rd.

Congratulations to all the place getters and participants and a huge thank you to Ms Bishop, Ms Brown and Mrs Grundie for helping out with organisation for the day and all the enthusiastic parents who accompanied the students. We can't wait for the next competition.
