Catching public transport

Public transport is a great way to safely get to and from school.

Catching a bus

Taking a bus to Lucas Heights Community School from nearby suburbs is easy and practical for many students. The school is in southern Sydney, and students living in suburbs like Barden Ridge, Bangor and Alfords Point can catch a bus to get there. Local buses run on routes that connect these areas to the school.

Parents and students can find bus times and route information on the Transport for NSW website or the Opal Travel app, which shows when buses will arrive. Bus stops are located close to where students live, so they don’t have to walk too far. The buses usually run in the morning before school starts and in the afternoon after school finishes, so students can get to and from school on time.
