Year 9 were treated to an engaging and memorable motivational talk delivered by ex-Socceroos captain, Paul Wade. Paul shared some of his experiences with us and encouraged us to be more active in our decision-making by creating goals and following through on them, no matter how small. It was inspiring listening to the ways he overcame obstacles that stood in his path. He gave us tips on how to become a valuable employee by making us aware of the skills and qualities that employers want to see. My favourite part was the importance of decision-making because it made me realise that decision-making is crucial to moving on in life and if we do not make these decisions we will ultimately become stressed and confused.
We appreciated the time Paul spent with us and we hope to use some of the tips and advice he shared with us in future experiences.
