Lucas Heights Community School's formidable Bill Turner Cup squad put in a gallant effort against Sylvania High School on Friday 13/5/16.
Played out on an unseasonably warm May morning,LHCS showcased its pristine playing conditions and love of healthy competition. The intensity of the match emanated strongly from the players; staff and students were treated to a brilliant display of dexterity and finesse. Whilst the result was unfortunately not in our favour, we went down 2-4, we are very proud to have these young men represent our school.
Coach Mr Bedwell would like to congratulate the boys on their sportsmanship and hospitality towards the visiting team. Captain Max W. and Vice-Captain Declan M. showed wonderful maturity in ensuring that all visiting parents and players had seats and open access to the change rooms. The team would like to express their gratitude to Mr Serena, Mrs Venables, GA John and the office ladies for their help in ensuring the match ran smoothly. Further mention must go to all students and teachers who came to cheer valiantly from the sideline!
